“Through Our Eyes” in Northern Uganda

In September 2009, “Through Our Eyes” training was carried out in Gulu, northern Uganda. Workshop participants included ARC staff, individuals working with local partner agencies, and community members. The new team created two videos: a drama on the role of men in promoting family well-being, and a documentary about living positively with HIV/AIDS. The first community playback of these programs sparked lively discussion and enthusiastic response to project activities. Future video programs will address various forms of gender-based violence, harmful traditional practices, and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
